That pisses people off. It's like the Streisand Effect. It's like prohibition. It's just not a good way to do business. Copyright terms should definitely be shortened, but that doesn't fix the problem. The content industries need to respect artists and customers, and give them what they want for a reasonable price, on a reasonable timeline (e.g., if I live in Europe I don't want to endure months of online chatter about how good The Avengers was before I have the opportunity to see it legally in theaters due to Hollywood's "release window" strategy).
